For the first time in Australia, two timber solution specialists have teamed up to produce a premium quality, Wide Board engineered flooring range from locally grown, sustainable, blonde hardwoods.
“Essentially we’re offering the savvy buyer a local choice in Wide Board engineered flooring” says Boyd Kelso of Oslek Flooring. “A blonde coloured hardwood provides perfect flexibility to offer a colour range that rivals the imported oaks and allows the buyer to maintain consistency with the materials used throughout their home. As a long term importer of quality wide board European Oak flooring, we have always been asked for a local timber option and now we can deliver!”
ASH chief Vince Hurley explained further: “The two companies first put our minds together over a year ago. Its taken some patience but the flooring will now be available in a 190 x 15 & 150 x 15 pre-finished board with a 4mm wear layer. We wanted to produce the highest quality floor possible so that it matched our GoodWood range. Now designers have the ability to continue a look throughout the home. With our solutions, you can match your flooring, lining, staircase, window, furniture through to the internal joinery. We’re even launching an outdoor range to match!” (refer to IronAsh for more)

Boyd continues: “We’re so confident in our product that we’ll offer a lifetime structural warranty. The first batch is available in a clear matte finish to keep it simple but we’ve got a secret weapon to make the product even more attractive. Customers can nominate their own colour, coating type and finish type and we will produce it to order. We offer sanding, brush finishing and coating of almost any colour or finish to prefabricated quality, right here in Melbourne. We’re already taking orders for flooring, decking and cladding with the same stain and brush finish, all from ASH’s GoodWood range‚
