MPavilion is an initiation by the Naomi Milgrom Foundation supported by the City of Melbourne and Victorian State Government created to be a meeting place, event hub and “an invitation to experiment” says the foundation.

“Every year for four years, an outstanding architect will be commissioned to design a temporary pavilion for the Queen Victoria Gardens, in the centre of Melbourne’s Southbank Arts Precinct”.

“The 2015 MPavilion has been designed by AL_A, the studio of Stirling Prize winning architect Amanda Levete. The 2014 MPavilion was designed by Australian firm Sean Godsell Architects, and now has anew, permanent home at Melbourne’s Hellenic Museum.”

ASH long term distributor Britton Timbers Victoria, partnered with Kane Constructions to supply the projects timber needs including 90 x 45 F17 ‘IronAsh’ joists and 90 x 22 silvertop ash decking. IronAsh uses innovative technology to combine a transparent combination of water based additives deep into the core of GoodWood Victorian ash. The process creates a Hazard Class 3 (H3) durable alternative to treated pine.
